**Plot thus far?**

It's a brand new day! Van and Allen are leaving Hitomi and Merle behind to get the pendant back. Meantime Folken is making sure the wedding is still going as planed. Dornkirk thinks he needs Hitomi to make the pendant work, so he has tricked Varie into get her for him. And Dilly boy is planning some mischief. Will Hitomi's vision about Van being captured come true? And will Yukari and Amano ever go back to earth?

Just a normal high school girl, this one. Athletic, smart, compassionate... an alien in Gaea, yup, just normal. She's the girl from the Mystic Moon. ^__^. Has a talent with fortune telling and fate...

The 15 year old king of a burned kingdom. He's serious and quiet, but also good hearted. He's very good with Escaflowne, and with a sword too. And lets not forget the fact that he can fly with those awesome wings!

**Merle**
She's a kitten girl- only 13 years old. A very outgoing kitty who loves Van to death. She's very possessive of him. Oh, she's a sly sneaky little kitten too. Better watch out for this one!

**Allen Schezar** 
Ah yes. The pretty boy Allen. He's very dedicated to chivalry, and is a knight to boot. A very kind hearted person. He does have a bit of a temper though. A bit of a playboy too. Very skilled with the sword.

**Millerna Aston**
She is the youngest daughter of King Aston of Asturia. She has been studying to be a doctor but was stopped when she was betrothed to Dryden Fasaa, a very succesful and wealthy merchant. However, she is in love with another man, Sir Allen Schezar.

**Eries Aston**
The aloof but concerned sister of Millerna. She remembers all too well Allen's past and cannot stand by and watch as Millerna falls for Allen's charm. Normally, the line of royal succession goes first to the oldest male and female child, but the burden of the throne rests on younger Millerna, not Eries.

**Dilandau**
The 15 year old psychopath. He's the leader of the special group called the Dragonslayers. He holds grudges, and has an extreme temper. He's... severe. ^^ Oh, did I mention that he doesn't like to be alone? Very good at fighting though.

**Folken Fanel** 
Van's older brother. He's highly intelligent, and does what he thinks is best. He's actually kind hearted, although he's sided with the bad guys before. Soft spoken. Also missing an arm.. he's got a robotic one. Oh, let's not forget those cool black wings of his!

**Dornkirk** 
The Emperor of Zaibach, the most powerful nation on Gaea. He is an extremely old man, over 200 years old who is so old that he needs to be strapped to a giant machine, the Fate Redirector Machine. From here he hopes to change the fate of Gaea with the power of Atlantis.

**Shesta** 
The dragonslayer that seems to get beaten up by Dilandau. When Dilandau is mad, he and Gatty always speak their minds, not caring if Dilandau will hit them, as long as Dilandau-sama is okay! The shortest dragonslayer, and the abused dragonslayer...^^;

**Varie** 
Van's mother that disappeared ten years ago looking for her older son (Van's older brother) after he himself disappeared during the dragon-slaying pre-coronation ritual.

**Amano** 
As a national-record-holding sprinter and all-around friendly person, Amano gained popularity among his peers at Kamakura-Kita High School. He plays no small role in Hitomi's decision to join the track team at the high school, and her crush on him manifests itself in front of Hitomi's best friend Yukari as well as Amano himself.

**Dryden Faasa** 
The son of Meiden. Like his father, he is a rich merchant. However, Dryden doesn't stay in Asturia, traveling all over the world.  He is also arranged to be married to Millerna.

**Miguel** 
Another Dragonslayer with short brown hair. He is captured by Allen and the others and brought to a Freid Prison. There Zongi hypnotizes him into saying that Allen is a traitor who hopes to overthrow Asturia. Zongi lets him out, but Miguel foolishly tries to battle Escaflowne. His Guymelef is destroyed and Zongi proceeds to strangle him afterwards.

**Viole** 
Another Dragonslayer with long curly black hair. We only see him when the Dragonslayers are all together, and outside of Dilandau asking for him after his death, he doesn't have much significance.

**Eriya** 
She is the golden hair leopard twin who works for the Zaibach empire under Folken's command. Eriya and her sister Naria pilot a pair of melefs called teirings. Both are fiercly loyal to Folken, and in truth follow him, not Zaibach.

**Naria** 
The silver hair leopard twin.  Also very loyal to Folken.  Both her and her sister are considered very, very lucky.  Naria has a bit of a temper though.

**The Mole Man** 
This old pickpocket somehow wins the trust of his companions and joins the Crusade crew.

**Jajuka**  
After the complete annihilation of every Dragon Slayer under Dilandau's command, Jajuka becomes Dilandau's only subordinate. This dog-person offers Dilandau unfailing loyalty born of a common past.

**Prince Chid** 
The child prince.  He's a very level headed boy, for one so young.  He seems very mature for his age, and is understanding.  He likes Hitomi and her friends a lot, and looks up to Allen...

**Gatti**
He is perhaps the DragonSlayers second in command. Gatti seems to push his luck with Dilandau just a little bit more than the other 'Slayers, occasionally speaking out of turn, or giving Dilandau the odd glare.

Another Dragonslayer that follows Dilandau's command.  Not much is known about this mysterious person...

**Dallet** 
He's the Dragonslayer with long brown hair. Dilandau slaps him around after his Guymelef is damaged in Fanelia. He doesn't really do much else.

**Yukari** 
Playfully flippant at times but always understanding, Yukari is Hitomi's trusted friend as the two enter their first year of high school. Hitomi confided her affection for Amano on the high school track team to Yukari, and Yukari in return confided Amano's plans to leave Japan to study abroad to Hitomi.

**Gaddes**
The second-in-command to the dashing Asturian knight, and master of the airship Crusade, Allen Schezar. The two men seem to be close friends, and it is clear that Allen trusts and relies upon his sergeant absolutely. This trust is merited because Gaddes is loyal, efficient, courageous and practical to the core.

The proud but ailing ruler of Asturia and father of Millerna. King Aston is willing to sacrifice anything to safeguard his country's peace and position as a non-warring mercantile power.

 *looks up to follow Merle's pointing* Okay! Hitomi's visions about this Van guy have caused her to be very ill, and now you're freaking out. I'll help Van! *looks at Merle* Just tell me what I can do! *looks at Millerna and the moleman* Please watch after Hitomi. I'll do what I can to help this guy out. Maybe that will stop Hitomi's visions... *looks back at Merle* Okay! I'll do whatever you say!

**let's go! I'll follow you!**

 *flips into stealth mode, becoming completely invisible to Allen* Sorry Shesta! I have some problems here! *swings his sword at Allen, making contact* If I can take him down, it'll be one less major problem to worry about. *hops around behind Allen and rams his melef into Scherazade full force and raises his sword up* Eh? *is startled by Dilandau's transmission* Company??

**distracted**

 *smiles as he sees Gatti and Guimel joining him. snaps on his comm* Good to see you guys! Together we can get that stupid knight. *turns just in time to see Allen charging him. is knocked down by the force of his blow.* Ow! That was unexpected. I thought I had him. Where did he come from?

**dazed**

 *through his NOSE, sees the Calei knights.* Heh! So that fat king thinks that he can defy me, eh? *snaps on his comm to his forces.* ATTACK!

**loves a good fight**

 *looks at the horizon. sees the advancing knights.* oh no! this could get ugly. i hope they know that Van is the good guy here. *crouches behind a tree as Jajuka joins Shesta.* i hope he doesn't see me. *notices Van landing with another guymelf.* that doesn't seem right. *starts to flutter towards Van when the sky above her burst into flames.* What?

**YIKES!!!!**

 GRRRRRRR stupid catwoman! ignoring me! grrrrrr *feels anger burn as he watches Van follow Eryia. hears Jajuka's comm.* What? Calei knights are attacking? *turns and sees the advancing army.* DRAGON SLAYERS! We have company!!! *powers up his flame thrower, aims, and starts shooting walls of fire at the knights*

**turning up the heat**

 *looks at their stunned faces.* LOOK! *shouts at them and points to the Crusade* See?? It's LORD VAN!!!! He needs our help! NOW!!!!

**come on guys...MOVE!**

 *hears Shesta's comm. sees the Calei knights advancing. tunes in his comm to dilly-boy's* Dilandau-sama! We have company! Asturia has sent their forces to greet us. *leaves stealth mode and flies down to join Shesta.*

**two against an army...we'll win easy**

 *hears eriya's comm* Right away sister! *sees that Allen is now busy with the dragon slayers. tunes her comm into their channel* Okay, he's all yours. I expect you guys to finish him off! *turns and flies off the Crusade. sees Eriya landing with the Escaflowne following. Joins her sister...at a descreet distance.*

**ready!**

 *falls to his knees from the liquid metal. twists and cuts some of the metal from him with Scherizade's blade.* Uhhh..*feels more liquid metal piercing into him.* must get to feet...will not lose to these idiots! *twists and cuts himself free from more of the liquid metal. although badly hurt, gets second wind. rushes towards Dallet, sword swinging. hits him and knocks him down. pivots and knocks Guimel off his feet. dizzy and seeing spots, turns towards Gatti.*

**your turn**

 Looks shocked at Yukari's outburst. "What?" Hears Dryden. "Nonsense!" Smiles at Eries. "I'm afraid I must agree with my daughter, Dryden. I didn't hear anything and I'm standing right beside Strategos...eh Strategos?" Sees Folken walking away. Frowns. "Now look what you have done! The alliance between my country and Zaibach seems to be a little thin right now. Eries! Take that servant girl out of here. Put her to work or something." Hastily hurries after Folken. "Strategos! Strategos! Wait up! That servant girl is mad or something. I know Zaibach wouldn't do anything to harm anyone in Asturia!" Catches up with him. Looks back at Yukari. "If she causes anymore alarm, I throw her into the dungeons! Now, where were we?"

**trying to calm Folken down**

 I should have known she was Van's mother. I mean I already knew she was Folken-sama's mother. *turns and looks at her* I wish she would get out of here. I can't promise that I won't hurt Van. He's the enemy! *hears Gatti's comm and switches it on* I got her to safety Gatti. I just hope she stays there. *frowns as he spots Asturia's knights coming* Dang! Looks like the rest of Asturia's army is coming! *shoots his liquid metal* Uh...a little help!

**gah, I'm surrounded!**

 *flys over to Dallet, Gatti, Allen and Naria* Hmmm...*tunes his comm into Dallet's* Need some help Dallet? *shoots some liquid metal at Allen* Let's double team him eh? Just don't go after me...ok?

**can you handle both of us Allen?**

 *stares at Yukari and Dryden* Are you both mad? I didn't hear anything like that, did you father? *sighs and looks up at the sky* Look! There goes the rest of the Calei knights! Van and Allen shouldn't be in trouble. *notices Folken has gone away* Father, why don't you see where he is going. *walks over to Dryden and whispers in his ear* We need to find that servant girl and make sure Folken doesn't get her. I'm sure my father will delay him...

**quick, while my father isn't looking**

 *smirks* He bought it! Let's land on the ground, and I'll give her to you. Now all I need is to get Naria, down here, and we can capture him! *starts flying to the ground* Is he following? *sighs and switches the frequency to Naria's* Sister, I'm getting the Escaflowne on the ground. Once the skinny boy hops out of it, grab him! We can both claim this prize to Folken-sama!

**it's working!**

 *looks up in alarm at Yukari and Dryden, then quickly regains his composure* Dornkirk-sama, *is talking into the comm* You have completely blown my cover. The alliance with Asturia has failed. But I will get the girl. *stares at everyone around him* Excuse me, I must go. *sidesteps Yukari* Don't get in my way. *keeps an eye on the people in the distance*

**I'll carry out orders....**

 *stops and glowers at Eriya* You have... Merle? *slowly lowers his sword* But HOW?? Curse that Dryden Fasaa!! He failed! LET HER GO! *sheathes his sword* There! What do you want???

**I can't let you hurt Merle...**

 *watches the attack on the Crusade in the air* That can't be good... those two were overwhelmed. *frowns* But what can I do? King Aston has already sent some forces up there, but he doesn't notice how dire the situation is. And knowing that kitten, she's going to try something to help Van. I think I'll keep an eye on that... *looks in surprise at Yukari's outburst* I didn't hear anything, but I'll back her up anyway. She's right, your magesty!! Folken was just ordered to kidnap that servant girl!

**you SHOULD arrest him!**

 *lands beside Dallet* I'm backing you up, Dallet! *flicks on the comm only to Shesta* Shesta! Did you get her to safety?

**yeah, I'm still here**

 *eyes go wide at the voice coming loudly from Folken's comm* Girl from the mystic moon??? *hops away from him very quickly* That can't mean me.... *swallows* You can't get Hitomi! I won't let you!! *looks at the king* A DISEMBODIED VOICE TOLD HIM TO KIDNAP HITOMI!! ARREST HIM OR SOMETHING! Wow... I'm yelling at a king! *stands defiantly in front of Folken, hoping to block his view of where Hitomi went*

**oh boy...**

 Looks with concern at Hitomi. "Millerna, do you think that the royal doctors should look at your friend?" Notices that Millerna has left. Turns to a servant. "Summon the royal doctors. Have them look at that poor girl." Smiles at Merle. "Now my dear, don't look so stressed..." Watches the kitten scurry away. Sighs. "Well, who else is going to run off like chickens with their heads chopped off?"

**sheesh, settle down people, my army has the situation under control**

 *tunes in his NOSE and sees Hitomi with a few others. opens his comm to Folken's channel.* Get that girl from the Mystic Moon and bring her here! Be quick about it! *tunes his NOSE to his army. sees them about to enter Asturia's borders. snaps on his comm.* Hold your positions! Advance ONLY ON MY ORDERS!

**drat! get that girl!**

 *laughs gleefully at Van's attack. blocks Escaflowne's blow.* Oh Van! You have to do better than that! *about to shoot his liquid metal when Eryia steps between.* What? grrrrrr *snaps on his comm* WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? I HAD HIM!!!!

**why are you taking away my victory?**

 *looks at Shesta.* Th..thank you. But..but it's my son that I'm worried about. Please, you mustn't hurt him. His name is Van. Please, he's a good boy. It's Folken, my other son, who is confused. *watches Shesta fly away.* i hope he heard me.

**one last plea**

 *recovers from Allen's blow. sees that the knight is busy with the catwoman.* ha! now's my chance. make me look foolish will you? *shoots his liquid metal piercing the Scherizade in the back*

**take that Allen!**

 Is shocked seeing Eryia standing between Dilandau and Van. what is she up too? why would she do such a foolish thing as that? hmmmmm, looks like to me she's trying to stop the fight between dilly-boy and Van. but why?

**stunned**

 *looks wildly about at the startled group.* i know the king means well, but I have to get to Van! maybe i can sneak aboard one of the guard's ships since Dryden is just going to stand there and stare. *excuses herself and heads back towards the dock running smack into Millerna, Hitomi, Ammano and Mr. Moleman.* Uh? *looks at them* PLEASE, we've got to get to Lord VAN!

**desperate**

 *parries just in time to avoid a deadly blow from Naria* Woah there little kitten, *says in a scarcastic voice* That wasn't very nice. *fights back, matching Naria blow for blow.*

**fighting with the cat**

 That's why you are ill. *walks over to Hitomi's other side and glances over her shoulder* I'm going to help her, father! *smiles at Amano* Thank you. *looks back at Hitomi* Would you feel better if we went on Dryden's merchant ship? He could take us to Van and the Crusade, you know. *smirks and spots the moleman* Hitomi, and *looks at Amano and gulps* uh..Aaano? I'll be right back. *runs over to the moleman* Mr. Moleman, do you think you can sneak us aboard Dryden's ship? We need to help Van.

**I have an idea**

 *snorts* He didn't buy that? Hmmmm...*watches him fight Dilandau* I need to get that idiot away from him. Folken-sama wants that boy alive... *flies over to the Escaflowne and goes between him and Dilandau* STOP! If you hit me, the girl dies! She is in here you know! What was that kitten's name..? Oh yea... I HAVE MERLE IN HERE!

**hope this works...**

 Phew. I thought you were goner. Ok, I'm going into stealth mode, so Dilandau-sama won't see us. *hears Gatti's comm and talks back to him* I'm gonna get her out of here. It's the only way I can repay her. Besides, she was a distraction to Dilandau-sama. And as you can tell, he doesn't need any right now. I'm just going to land and let her go off. *switches the comm's frequency so that Varie can only hear it* Ma'am, I'm going to put you on the ground, ok? Then I'm going back. *flies to the ground and lands* Now we are even. Please don't fly back up there. I won't be responsible if something happens to you.

**I'm over stepping my boundaries here, so don't kill yourself!**

 We got to get to Van..he's in trouble. Oh Amano-senpai, I can see it! I can see him dying! We need to help him...but I don't know how. I don't even know if he needs help. I..wish..I didn't see these visions. They..they make me ill. *struggles to walk straight* If only I had my pendant...

**oh Van...how can I help you down here..?**

 Weird...Gatti has gone into stealth mode and Shesta has gone batty. Oh well. *watches Miguel fly towards Dallet* I think I'll help them! *flys after Miguel*

**here's your help!**

 Ah! *sees some soldiers approaching* What do we have here?? *notices Dilandau and Van drifting farther away* Eh? What's he doing? Oh well. *watches the soldiers heading to the crusade* Ah! Dallet's there! *charges the soldiers*

**hey, back off!!**

 *twists away from Eriya, momentarily pondering what she said* She's got to be lying. Hitomi is safe with Dryden. *is still hesitant when Dilly starts calling him a coward* C... Coward? *the green jewel in Escaflowne starts to glow as he charges Dilly full force* I AM NO COWARD!!

**don't you DARE call me that you maniac!**

 *pulls Hitomi's arm around his shoulder and props her up* Okay, I'm going to take her back to one of those rooms inside. *tugs Hitomi off, nodding his head at the king and princesses* Hitomi... what can I do to help you?

 *draws in a sharp breath as Shesta grabs Varie* Uh oh... *flips the comm directly to Shesta, and ONLY to Shesta* HEY! What are you DOING with that Draconian??? I know you don't think she's evil, and neither do I, but still! Dilandau-sama is going to kill you!! *hears Dallet's call* Tch. *flips to Jajuka's frequency* Hey Jajuka! Keep an eye on Dilandau-sama, okay? *flies towards the crusade in stealth mode*

**I'm comin, I'm comin**

 Looks at Eries and at Merle. "Relax, I've sent for my soldiers. They should be nearing the Crusade right about now! Don't worry so."

**help is on the way**

 *tunes in his NOSE and sees Dilandau trying to lure Van and the Crusade away.* Hmph! It's a little too late! *notices that the Crusade is going down. spirits pick up somewhat* Good! Maybe I'll be rid of that pestering knight!

**something might go right after all**

 *races back to the pavillon as fast as she can. runs right up to Dryden.* Please, *huff* you must do something to help Van, *puff* He needs your help! *sees Folken. glowers!* How could you do such a thing? He's YOUR brother!

**you horrible man**

 *recovers from Allen's blow. shakes her head.* man! he's got a mean right hook. *sees Allen going after Dallet. charges the Scrizade.*

**oh no you don't Allen**

 Is surprised by Dilandau's suddened change of heart. what is going on? why is dilly-boy backing off? between him and eriya, they have got the escaflowne.

**what's the matter dilly-boy?**

 *looks unsure at Shesta.* do i trust him or not? *is knocked aside by the Scherizade. recovers and flies into Shesta's outstretched claw.*

**okay, okay!**

 *falls flat from the force of Allen's blow* Unh? *tries to get up but allen is too quick. snaps on his comm* Hey fellows!

**a little help here!**

 *hears Gaddes* grrrrrr, this couldn't get any worse! my ship! my beautiful ship! *parries off Naria. notices that Eriya has left* Good! Things might be looking up after all. *gives naria a tremondous blow with his sword knocking her temporarily down. leaps at dallet knocking him off guard.*

**get off my ship!**

 *hears Folken* What? is he crazy? move furhter out? *siiiighs. looks at Van.* Hey coward! It's you and me! *hits him hard* Come on! Let's go where it's not so crowded. *starts flying away from everyone and asturia's borders.* Come on COWARD! Or I'll burn everything in sight.

**we're too close?**

 *a bit flabbergasted at what Prince Chid has told her* Ok, I'll try to get my father to help them. *runs off and over to King Aston* Father, we must send Caeli knights to help Van! They are in trouble!

OOC: Ditto to what my sister said, (Teebla)! We had a great Christmas!

**they need help!**

 I..I think so. *looks at Folken* Wow he..seems upset. I wonder if it's because my father actually thinks that Zaibach is attacking. I hope so! *helps Hitomi up and looks at Amano and Yukari* Help me, take her to another room. She needs..*spots her sister running towards them* What does Eries want? She looks troubled...

 You are right Moleman-san. I guess this is why Dryden ran off, Aunt Eries. To help Van-sama and the Crusade. Come, on! They need Asturia's help too! *squints* By the looks of it, they are really outnumbered! *runs off, dragging Eries and spots Merle* Merle! Go get Dryden! He needs to help them up there! *looks at Eries* I'll stay here and wait for Dryden and Merle. You should tell Grandfather to send Van-sama some help.

 I... I will see what is going on, sire. *pulls out his comm and contacts Dilandau* Dilandau! What are you DOING? I'm ordering you to leave the borders of Asturia... IMMEDIATELY!! *rises and steps away from the others a bit, and speaks quietly* Tell Naria and Eriya to do the same. Your mission, however, has not changed.
